Hello!
My full name is Benita Mulokaite. I am a visual artist currently residing in El Campello, a seaside town in Alicante, Spain.
I was born and raised in Lithuania where I studied Graphic Design. However, I wanted to learn how to paint since I was a child. I saw my father painting. I got mesmerised, fixated. Painting was something magical. Unfortunately my father got sick and passed away before he could teach me.
I self studied, painted reproductions of famous artworks, sold them at Dublin art markets, while I was living in Ireland.
Few years later I moved to The Netherlands. I found a perfect place to study – Classical Academy in Groningen. I learned a lot from master painters.
Then life brought me a little boy who changed everything. We moved to Spain.
Now I live in a place with stunning views that inspire me to paint every day.
At the moment I mostly paint alla prima, from life, striving to catch a fleeting moment. To catch a feeling, a short passage of time.
